Empowering Students for Success

My journey is rooted in education, athletics, and service. I am the President and CEO of the Charles James Education Foundation, an organization I founded to help students and student athletes navigate the path to college and beyond. With over a decade of experience supporting college access through scholarships, mentorship, and academic guidance, my work is driven by a belief that opportunity should be accessible to every student. I hold a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in organizational management, and I stay engaged with evolving NCAA, SAT, ACT, and eligibility requirements to better serve families and schools.

Coaching has been one of the most influential parts of my life. With 25 years of coaching experience, including 10 years as a head varsity football coach, I’ve seen firsthand how discipline, mentorship, and belief can change lives. While I’ve been honored with multiple coaching awards, my greatest fulfillment comes from watching young people grow into confident students, athletes, and leaders. Those experiences, along with the guidance of strong mentors and family, shaped my commitment to paying it forward.

Beyond the field and classroom, I am also a media host and storyteller, using platforms like The James Game and Diamonds in the Sand to highlight powerful stories in sports, education, and community. This website brings those passions together, offering insight into my work, the Foundation’s mission, and the stories that inspire impact. At home, I am most proud of being a husband to my wife, Lana, and a father to our two daughters, Charlize, a 21 year old college senior, and Giselle, a 13 year old eighth grader. Family is the foundation behind everything I do, reinforcing my belief that when you invest in people with purpose, you help create futures filled with possibility.
